VP R&D Hands On

A startup company that has developed a B2B SaaS Marketplace platform for mechanical procurement of custom-made items for hardware companies using AI.

Located in Tel Aviv, near a train station, they operate under a flexible hybrid model and currently have 4 employees.

The company was founded this year and recently completed a $2.5M seed round.

Responsibilities-

• Implementation role with 100% hands-on involvement
• Lead the end-to-end design and development of the second generation of the platform.
• Hire and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Implement advanced AI and ML techniques to enhance platform capabilities.
• Ensure the highest levels of security and encryption throughout the platform.
• Drive integration with third-party ERP systems to enhance platform functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and operations to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with technology vendors and research institutions.
• Manage the R&D budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact.

Requirements-

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in SaaS companies, such as those in eCommerce, logistics, procurement, or marketplaces, is required
• Proven experience in leading R&D teams, with a focus on SaaS and marketplace platforms.
• Experience with third party integrations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in eCommerce, logistics, procurement, or marketplace companies is required.
