Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as the Director of HIV and Viral Hepatitis Reference Laboratory at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, managing a team of professionals, ensuring quality control, and implementing laboratory policies and procedures. The applicant is required to lead scientific research and thus will receive a researcher position (which is similar to an academic position in the university)

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Microbiology, Virology, Epidemiology or Molecular Biology
• Postdoctoral experience
• Highly motivated to lead scientific research of high impact
• Extensive experience in managing a laboratory, particularly in HIV and Viral Hepatitis testing
• Demonstrated expertise in laboratory quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stay updated on advancements in the field of HIV and Viral Hepatitis testing
• Certifications in laboratory management or relevant areas are a plus
