QA Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Team Leader to lead our quality assurance team in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, a deep understanding of QA methodologies, and a proven track record of leading and mentoring QA teams. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure the highest level of product quality.

- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various types of testing (functional, regression, performance, security, etc.).

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing covers all use cases and edge cases.

- Manage the integration of automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that tests are executed efficiently and effectively.

- Track and report on test coverage, defect metrics, and overall quality status, providing clear insights to stakeholders.

- Ensure that defects are properly identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner, and facilitate root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.

- Continuously review and enhance QA processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with industry standards.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in QA and testing, and lead the team in adopting new methodologies where appropriate.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth releases and deployments, managing any risks or issues that arise during the process.

Required Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing or mentoring a team of QA engineers.

- Proven experience in both manual and automated testing across various types of applications (web, mobile, APIs).

- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

- Familiarity with test management tools, such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr, and defect tracking systems.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality products to customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

- Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.

- Experience with cloud-based testing environments, particularly on AWS.
