Research Development Team Lead

Webz.io is looking for an R&D Team Lead to join our Development team

Webz.io mission is to provide easy access to high quality web content to companies who

wish to focus on data analysis and not data collection.

We work to provide access to the biggest data repositories in each vertical we serve, and we

take pride in our ability to quickly take care of our clients, and fulfil their data requirements.

Responsibilities:

● Ownership on our collection systems technology & architecture. Designing and

developing technical projects, and leading the team’s technical strategy for our

collection tech stack.

● Troubleshoot, monitor, test and maintain the core product software and databases to

ensure healthy optimization and functionality

● Oversee and own the professional and personal development of the team and drive

them for accountability and excellence

● Run bi-weekly sprints and manage quarterly planning

● Collaborate closely with the product team

● Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

Requirements:

● At least 5 years of software development/engineering experience

● At least 2 years experience of Python development

● At least 2 years experience of leading a team

● Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects

● A people oriented with strong soft skills who is capable of managing complex

projects, thinks creatively and is great at execution

● Demonstrable knowledge of technologies including: Linux, big data systems,

distributed applications, REST architecture and common developer tools (code

repositories, building tools, etc.)

● Deep knowledge of web, internet structure and understanding of data pipelines

● Experience with crawling technologies - Big advantage
