Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to head our Research & Development (R&D) efforts. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing our pre-clinical research strategy, collaborating with advisors and external consultants, and leading our dedicated scientific team. This role is pivotal in advancing our R&D strategy and mRNA based therapeutic.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Scientific Leadership: Provide expert guidance on R&D strategy, direction of projects and make data-driven decisions to steer research initiative. Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements in mRNA technology and integrate new findings into the R&D strategy.

·       mRNA Therapeutic Pre-Clinical Projects: Lead the planning, execution, and progress of mRNA therapeutic pre-clinical projects, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget

·       Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing R&D team with expertise in molecular biology, mRNA technology, and related disciplines.

·       Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific excellence within the R&D department.

·       Intellectual property (IP): Oversee IP strategy, including patents and licensing, to protect and leverage the company’s innovations.

·       Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate closely with the SAB and external consultants to ensure that all research activities follow best industry practices and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

·       Communication: Communicate ideas, information and progress clearly and effectively to different stakeholders as needed both verbally and in writing

Requirements:

·       Ph.D. or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, immunology or a related field.

·       2-3 years in a VP R&D role or equivalent position, with a strong track record of leadership and project management.

·       In-depth knowledge of mRNA technology, including its design, delivery, and therapeutic applications, is highly advantageous.

·       Strong understanding of regulatory requirements; experience with regulatory submissions is a plus.

·       Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

·       Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team and complex projects

·       Fluent in English, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills
