Automation Engineer

An under-the-radar startup founded this year in the Storage domain. The company's product offers solutions that enable customers to save 50% on their cloud storage costs. They are currently working with enterprise organizations.

Funded by one of the largest venture capital firms in the world, the company is well-financed, having raised several million dollars. The founders are graduates of the elite Talpiot military unit and have already had multiple successful exits.

The company is located in Tel Aviv near a train line and operates a hybrid work model with two days working from home. The team consists of 15 people.

Job description:

• Establish the automation domain from the ground up
• Sole automation professional within the development team
• Primarily focused on automation, with some initial manual tasks
• Development in Go (Python experience is also suitable)
• Working on a storage product in an AWS environment
• Unique opportunity to join the founding team and work closely with the founders and CEO

Requirements:

● 5+ years of experience in developing product testing and automation tools, with a focus on enterprise-grade products.

● Technical Expertise: Knowledge of file systems (NAS), block-level storage, and storage networking protocols. Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and the ability to manage the full lifecycle of cloud-based solutions.

● Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and understand complex systems. Experience with QA processes and procedures, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.

● Automation & Development: Experience in building and maintaining test automation infrastructure. Proficiency in automating tests on Linux servers and using programming languages such as Python and Go.

● Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding of computer systems and operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows.

● Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Practical experience and a passion for technology are equally
