SOC Director

STARTICA is seeking an experienced SOC Director to lead and manage our Security Operations Center, ensuring proactive and immediate alerts on cyber threats. You will play a critical role in developing and driving the SOC strategy, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the center’s performance and service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage SOC teams composed of analysts and implementers, including task management.
• Develop policies and procedures for responding to cyber incidents.
• Implement and verify cybersecurity requirements based on regulatory guidelines and standards.
• Analyze and assess cyber threats and attacks.
• Continuously improve the technological and operational capabilities of the SOC.
• Collaborate with internal and external cyber teams to bolster cybersecurity efforts.
• Produce professional reports on SOC activities and suspected incidents.
• Communicate findings and lessons learned to both technical and management teams.
• Actively participate in regulatory audits and cyber risk assessments.

Requirements:

• Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or experience in IDF tech units (e.g., 8200, MAMRAM).
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience managing a SOC.
• Experience with security products such as Firewalls, IDS, DLP, SIEM, and SOC tools.
• Strong knowledge in managing security systems, hardening, and network segmentation.
• Deep understanding of cyber threats and threat actors, including large-scale and international cyber incidents.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and ability to leverage it in scenario planning.
• Familiarity with NIST frameworks, especially NIST SP800-61.
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are an advantage.
