Technical Writer

We’re looking for a Technical Writer who will join the Flytrex Regulation team, leading major compliance efforts, enabling Flytrex to certify advanced UAS platforms, and execute groundbreaking projects. You’ll be a part of a fast-growing company with an awesome multidisciplinary team and a vibrant working environment in the center of Tel Aviv.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing comprehensive documentation that meets the stringent requirements set forth by the FAA and other civil aviation authorities. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product managers, operations and manufacturing teams, to gather technical and operational information and translate it into clear and concise documentation. This includes writing technical manuals, standard operating procedures, maintenance procedures, safety protocols, training programs, and other relevant documentation outlining the specifications for drone operation, production, and maintenance. Your technical expertise, keen attention to detail, analytical approach, and strong writing skills, contribute to the safe and reliable operation of our drones within the national airspace.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review and process complex regulatory requirements.
• Work with aviation regulatory authorities to secure approvals and authorizations for the company’s activities.
• Create, edit, and manage technical manuals and documents.
• Revise technical documents from engineering, product, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
• Study the design, performance, and functionality of hardware and software systems and components.
• Research technical information to develop comprehensive documentation.
• Establish policies and procedures required for manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance processes.
  
  

• Minimum 3 years experience in technical writing (English).
• Minimum 3 years experience working with hardware, mechanical, or electrical products and systems.
• Bachelor’s degree, engineering or scientific disciplines - a plus.
• Experience working in a tech-driven environment - a plus.
  
  

• Native English speaker with excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to review and process information quickly.
• Proven ability to write in a concise, organized, and coherent manner.
• Quick learner, ready to adapt to new technological systems, tools, and platforms with minimal guidance.
• Experience with technical writing tools and/or document management systems - a plus.
• Experience with modeling or graphic editing software - a plus.
