DevOps Team Leader

The DevOps team at HUMAN is responsible for a production platform that handles hundreds of thousands to millions of requests per second with a strict response time limitation and high availability. This is a critical system presenting endless infrastructure engineering challenges.

We run tens of thousands of nodes on a multi-region cloud environment, and we put a big emphasis on performance, efficiency, and FinOps.

We’re looking for a strong and experienced DevOps Team Lead with a proven record of designing infrastructure for massive scales using technologies such as Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.

An ideal candidate is someone passionate and tech-savvy, a true combination of a strong DevOps engineer, and a talented leader.

What you'll do:

• Envision and foster the team culture, and onboard new engineers. Our current team is co-located in Tel-Aviv and Europe.
• Modernize our globally distributed huge scale infrastructure.
• Lead by example, mentor and educate toward technology excellence.
• Monitor critical production systems, and help identify root causes and issues.
• Have a key impact on the performance of our entire system, reaching millions of users every second.
  
  

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps or Engineering team lead.
• 5+ years of experience as a hand-on DevOps engineer.
• Proven record leading the design and implementation of big scale infrastructure.
• Proven experience with data infrastructure: Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB, and Postgresql.
• Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success.
