AS/400 Support Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and results oriented AS/400 Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our global user base, maintaining system stability, and ensuring optimal performance of our AS/400 systems.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to users, resolving issues and answering inquiries related to the AS/400 system.

Reducing repeating incidents by performing deep analyses of tickets, adjusting thresholds, and/o performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.

• System Monitoring: Continuously monitor the AS/400 system for performance issues, potential problems, and security threats.
• Upgrades and Projects: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and other projects related to the AS/400 environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of AS/400 systems.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in providing technical support for computer systems, including Windows operating systems.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of AS/400/IBM iSeries systems.
• Strong understanding of IBM DB2 databases.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Enforcive (advantageous).

• Fluency in English (required for communicating with international users).
