Research And Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

-Participates in the design and develop of Company products, test benches and related support/test apparatus and provides technical support in prototype production where needed.

§ Participate in Design Reviews and Risk Management process, compile and maintain components of the Design History File.

-Execute & implement lab tests (verification, validation), and achieving validation of engineering design.

-Writing, summaries SOP preparation for procedures, protocols and tests results, record and submitting technical files to regulatory authorization

-Seeking out and assessing new technologies, materials, design tools for design, development and production activities that provide advantages to the project.

-Transfer from development to production: specifying technical requirements for manufacturing and quality control processes, equipment, and acceptance criteria.

-Issuing engineering drawings, equipment specifications, SOW (statement of work) and TRD (technical requitement document).

-Provide R&D support for Manufacturing and Quality Control Departments

 Position Requirements

A.    Education and Experience:

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / biomedical engineering or a close discipline, practical experience at least 2 years in Medical Device companies or in regulated industries. Previous experience in medical device industry is preferred.

-Demonstrated engineering / technical writing expertise and capabilities related to the design, development and manufacture of mechanical and optical devices and related support/test equipment. The emphasis is on providing technical support, technical documentation, design drawings, mock-up building, and tests lab capabilities.

-Risk Management ISO 14971 (advantage).

-Software knowledge of design and development tools (CAD/CAM) and standard PC software tools (advantage).

-Skills in technical writing in English (mother language preferred).

-This position requires clear and concise verbal and written communication skills (Hebrew and English).

V.        Working Environment

- Standard work area for R&D Engineer and R&D laboratory, 3D printing and model shop for testing evaluation work.

- Special Factors in the Work Area: Solidworks CAD design using materials such as glass, plastics, polymers, and metals.

- Some deities may require working in the Company Cleanroom area.

- The R&D Engineer work areas may include Lasers, High Voltage Systems, Computers, and Hazardous Materials. Therefore, the Engineer should be cognizant of this and perform his/her duties accordingly.
