Technical Team Lead

Role Overview: As a Technical Team Lead, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of our new technology stack. You will play a key role in mapping existing systems, designing scalable solutions, and recruiting and leading a talented engineering team. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of various tech stacks and is comfortable making decisions that will shape the future of our product and technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to align the technical direction with company goals.
• Hands-On Development: Participate in coding, debugging, and system troubleshooting when necessary.
• Tech Stack Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of a new technology stack from the ground up. Make decisions on frameworks, languages, tools, and infrastructure that align with business goals.
• System Mapping: Analyze and map the existing systems and infrastructure to understand current workflows and identify areas for improvement.
• Scalability and Performance: Ensure that the new tech stack and systems are scalable, efficient, and secure, with future-proofing in mind.
• Technical Debt Management: Address technical debt in the existing systems while minimizing it in the new stack.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in software development and architecture.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in software development.
• Tech Stack Expertise: Experience with multiple technology stacks such as Javascript, Python, Node.js, React, etc. Familiarity with front-end and back-end technologies, databases, specifically MySQL, microservices, and cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Git and Jira Expertise: Experience with Git for managing code repositories and Jira for Agile workflow management, including tracking issues, managing sprints, and coordinating with development teams.
• System Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex system architectures, including cloud-based solutions.
• System Mapping: Experience in mapping and understanding legacy systems with a focus on system optimization.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a technical team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative and solution-driven mindset.
