Data Scientist

A startup company in the Insurtech field with a groundbreaking product, which has developed two core solutions: a platform for insurance comparison for insurance companies and an actuarial pricing model based on Big Data (terabytes of data). These models help insurance companies price policies at minimal amounts and drastically reduce costs. Both products are B2B SaaS solutions.

Located in Tel Aviv (near a train station), the company has 35 employees and offers a flexible hybrid model, allowing employees to work 100% remotely if they choose.

The company has raised $52M through multiple rounds led by top funds, is stable and well-funded, with revenues growing quarter by quarter. The company's clients are primarily large American insurance companies.

About the role

• Join a team, reporting directly to the CEO.
• Work end-to-end, from algorithm research and development to production.
• Optimize and improve models in underwriting and actuarial science.
• Focus on understanding how to increase underwriting profits.
• Work with predictive models, pricing models, and risk models.
• Handle mainly tabular data in the cloud.
• Use Python and Machine Learning models for development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Operations Research – mandatory.
• Experience in at least two Data Scientist roles – mandatory.
• Experience in developing Machine Learning models – mandatory.
• Proficiency in Python development – mandatory.
• End-to-end experience from research to deployment in production – mandatory.
• Experience with cloud environments – an advantage.
