Mid-Level Automation Engineer

About Us:

As part of our dynamic and innovative team, you will enhance our sports betting platform, focusing on delivering the best user experience to our clients. We are seeking a dedicated Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and functionality of our Client and Back Office systems, testing all aspects of the sportsbook, including markets, selections, odds, and user flows.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in test automation using JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright, along with experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. Knowledge of mobile automation and basic DevOps practices is an advantage. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimising, and maintaining test automation solutions that ensure the highest quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript with Playwright-Must!
• Lead the development and optimization of an in-house automation framework to support scalable and efficient test execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, product managers) to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop test strategies that include integration into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth automated test execution across various environments.
• Execute and analyse test results, identifying issues and ensuring timely resolutions.
• Automate tests for mobile applications (advantage), ensuring coverage for both web and mobile platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test framework improvements, ensuring best practices in automation development.
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test plans, automation frameworks, test cases, and results.

Technological Stack:

• JavaScript/TypeScript: Proficiency in writing test scripts and frameworks.
• Playwright: Strong experience with Playwright for browser automation.
• Automation Framework Development: Proven experience in designing and optimising automation frameworks.
• Mobile Automation (advantage): Experience with mobile automation tools (e.g., Appium) for iOS and/or Android.
• DevOps Knowledge (advantage): Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in automation testing, focusing on web and/or mobile
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
