aMoon Growth is our mid to late-stage investment vehicle, which focuses on investing in and partnering with exceptional management teams that have the potential to reach significant value inflection points in the initial years following our investment.

The Role

As an aMoon scientific analyst, you will join our interdisciplinary Growth investment team, working to screen opportunities in all HealthTech modalities (biopharma, digital health, and medical technologies) and participate in comprehensive diligence activities, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in late-stage HealthTech investing.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our team of experienced professionals, providing a gateway to the VC realm and the development of investment skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen potential investment opportunities, including meeting with companies.
• Help manage CRM system interface, deal flow, and associated documentation.
• Conduct scientific due diligence research, including technical assessment of data and technology, KOL reach-outs, and interviews.
• Develop financial skills towards valuation modeling, return analysis, and scenario planning.
• Participate in the preparation of detailed investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
• Participate in and support networking events and build relationships within the startup ecosystem.
• Collaborate with team members to share insights and contribute to various projects.

About You

• You hold a PhD in the life sciences or related disciplines and are preferably pursuing (or recently completed) a post-doc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex scientific information.
• Independent, results-driven mindset with strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
