Head of Chemistry

TripleW is a circular economy company rapidly growing in the field of industrial biotechnology and waste management. The company upcycles food waste to produce pure lactic acid (building block of high-value bioplastic – PLA) made from 100% renewable carbon, to deliver a major positive impact on climate change.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead our Chemistry R&D team.

Requirements:

• MSc - must have. PhD - advantage.
• Chemical or biotechnology background.  
• Leadership experience with high interpersonal and communication skills.
• Practical experience in downstream processing and analytical methods.
• Practical experience in a laboratory environment.
• Advantage - Affinity towards organic chemistry and process scale up.

Job Description:

• Leading a team of chemists responsible for all chemical research and DSP processes optimizations.
• Design experiments, research goals and schedule.
• Analysis of results.
• Overseeing collaborations with other teams and third parties.
• Working closely with engineering team and manufacturing team towards upscaling lab processes to industrial scale.
• Supporting full scale facility planning.
• Responsibility for documentation, traceability, project summaries and technology transfer.

Location – Poleg, Netanya, Israel.
