About The role

 As a QA Automation Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead the QA automation team, guiding them in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks. Your expertise will be essential in identifying opportunities for automation within the testing process, enhancing our testing efficiency, and ensuring comprehensive coverage of test scenarios.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Provide guidance on best practices, tool selection, and test strategies.

Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for automation. Ensure that automated tests cover functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Framework and Tool Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance our testing capabilities.

Test Execution and Reporting: Oversee the execution of automated test scripts, analyze test results, and generate detailed reports. Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the automation processes to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure high-quality releases.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment on quality objectives and deliverables.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the software development lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to ensure minimal impact on product quality and delivery timelines.

Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of test cases, test scripts, and test results. Ensure all test artifacts are up-to-date and easily accessible

The required experience & skill set:

•  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in QA automation development in hi-tech companies, with a strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Selenium.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products and demonstrated experience in leading without authority and leading through others.

• Demonstrated high accountability and commitment to personal performance.

• Excellent English language skills and strong communication abilities.

• Ability to take ownership and transform conceptual ideas into efficient and thoroughly tested software.

• Agile and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and specifications.

Preferences:

•  Experience in software companies, preferred from digital health companies

•  Experience in a startup environment - preferred
