Senior QA Automation Engineer

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Rekor, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Leveraging advanced automation technologies and practices, you will develop and maintain our automation infrastructure and test suites, driving excellence in our quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our automation framework and test suites using Cypress Framework and TypeScript.
• Create comprehensive test scenarios to cover End-to-End, regression, functional, sanity, and smoke testing.
• Develop strategies for effective automation testing, ensuring high coverage and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, BI, and QA to ensure seamless integration of automated tests and to deliver high-quality products.
• Participate in Agile multi-disciplinary squads following Scrum methodology, contributing to sprints and backlog grooming sessions.
• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Review Product Requirements Document (PRD) and Technical Specifications to ensure test coverage aligns with project goals.
• Design comprehensive test plans based on product requirements and technical specifications.
• Execute manual testing procedures to identify software defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong knowledge of Cypress Framework, TypeScript and GitHub Actions (or similar).
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining test automation infrastructure in modern technologies and tools.
• Proven experience in End-to-End, regression, functional, sanity, and smoke testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, preferably with Scrum methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies and practices proactively.
  
  

• CI/CD Knowledge: Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
