Platform Engineer

A unicorn startup in the cybersecurity field, developing a cutting-edge security platform designed for critical infrastructures such as water plants, power stations, and transportation systems. These infrastructures connect their industrial networks and equipment (OT) to IT networks, creating a demand for specialized security technologies.

Located in Tel Aviv, near a train station, and operates a hybrid model with two work-from-home days.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on on-prem work.
• The team is building new infrastructure that can install operating systems and provide various services to applications.
• Responsibilities include:
• Monitoring service health (ensuring services run smoothly without crashes).
• Resource allocation (memory, processors, communication).
• Support for updates, including both software updates and security patches.
• OS updates and hardening.
• Coding in Python.
• Working with Docker and network protocols.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a Platform Engineer or related role
• 2+ years significant experience in python
• Experience working with containers (Docker)
• Knowledge of network concepts and protocols
• Strong troubleshooting skills on various domains (system, network, application)
• Excellent communication skills, team player, with independent problem-solving capabilities
