Role Overview:

As the Molds & Tooling Team Leader, you’ll be a vital player in ensuring the successful execution of mold projects from the early stages of RFQ (Request for Quotation) to production site launch, hitting key R@R (Run at Rate) targets. You will manage a talented team, oversee mold design and production, and work closely with international partners and suppliers. This is a role for a dynamic leader who excels in both technical and organizational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Mold Department Management:

• Lead the Team: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing mold team, ensuring their growth and success.
• Goal Setting: Define KPIs and track progress to meet departmental and project goals.
• Strategic Planning: Develop an annual plan for the mold department, outlining key initiatives and milestones.
• Feasibility Checks: Conduct technical feasibility studies to ensure the success of mold projects.
• Global Support: Provide expert guidance and support to mold engineers across the globe.

Work Methodologies:

• Oversee the adherence to established procedures by mold engineers and coordinate with other departments, including project management and planning.
• Monitor and ensure smooth operations at the company’s injection sites.
• Manage relationships with global tooling manufacturers, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Up to 5 years of experience managing plastic mold departments, with a deep understanding of mold injection, design, and production.
• Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required (Plastics Engineering is a significant advantage).
• CAD Skills: Proficient in Cimatron; experience in NX and CATIA is a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of metal selection and hardening treatment processes, as well as injection mold analysis.
• Global Experience: Comfortable managing tooling manufacturers abroad and overseeing international projects.
• English Proficiency: Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential.
