Oakleigh James has partnered with a dynamic fintech startup at the forefront of financial innovation. They're seeking a visionary Director of R&D to lead technical initiatives and drive our product development forward.

As the Director of R&D, you will spearhead technology strategy, oversee the development of cutting-edge financial products, and build a high-performing team of engineers and developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's technology roadmap
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-based architectures
• Build and mentor a team of talented engineers and researchers
• Drive innovation in financial technology, including areas such as AI/ML, and data analytics
• Collaborate with other departments to align R&D efforts with business objectives
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale, cloud-based systems
• Strong background in financial technology or related fields
• Experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams
• Deep understanding of modern software architectures and design patterns
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies
