Vice President Research And Development

One of our clients, an innovative digital health company is looking to hire a VP of R&D to lead their research and development team. This fast-growing company specializes in developing cutting-edge digital health solutions, seeking a dynamic leader to drive product innovation, and overseeing a multidisciplinary team of 15 professionals, including mobile developers, QA, NOC, and backend engineers.

The VP of R&D will collaborate closely with the executive team to define the technology roadmap, improve development processes, and deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary R&D team, including mobile development (iOS/Android), QA, NOC, and backend infrastructure.
• Shape and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the full development lifecycle from concept to release, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor team leads and senior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Continuously improve development processes to enhance team productivity and product scalability.
• Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive product and infrastructure improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with departments such as product management, customer success, and operations.
• Drive initiatives to improve system performance, security, and scalability across platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior R&D leadership role, such as VP or Director in a tech-driven company.
• Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in mobile platforms, backend infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of 15+ across development, QA, and infrastructure.
• Proficient in agile methodologies with experience optimizing development processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
