DevOps Sr. Manager

As a Senior Manager, you will oversee teams of Engineers and be a champion for configuration management, technologies in the cloud, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with global leaders to ensure that the teams are aligned with business goals and solutions are in line with current and future state architectures. By leveraging your leadership experience, you will set processes and patterns to improve value delivery to customers, reduce costs, and eliminate toil.

Responsibilities

• Guide the professional development of Engineers and support the teams to accomplish business goals

• Drive operational excellence through metrics

• Manage and improve deployment pipelines

• Triage and remediate production issues

• Collaborate with global team members

• Participate in on-call rotations for escalations

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing Engineering teams

• 7+ years administering Linux and Windows environments

• 4+ years programming / scripting experience (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)

• Automating deployments of cloud based highly-available services (e.g. AWS EC2 / RDS, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Management of resources using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef)

• Maintaining production environments in the cloud (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and analysis tools (e.g. Datadog, Sumo Logic, New Relic)

• Solid understanding of networking principles and how it applies to data flow and security

• Worked within Agile and Lean software development teams

• Success working with globally distributed teams
