We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creative Team Lead/Creative Strategist to join our dynamic marketing team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in direct response advertising, video ad production, and social media trends. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to articulate and implement creative ideas effectively.
The Creative Team Lead/Creative Strategist will work closely with Media Buyer to analyze top-performing ads, iterate on creative strategies, and drive impactful advertising campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Ad Performance Review:
- Collaborate with the Media Buyer to review and analyze top-performing ads.
- Understand the key elements that contribute to the success of these ads and apply these insights to future campaigns.
Trend Awareness & Application:
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends and apply them creatively to our ad content.
- Ensure the creative team is aligned with current trends and understands how to leverage them effectively.
Strategic Communication:
- Clearly articulate creative ideas and strategies to the rest of the team, ensuring everyone understands the objectives and execution plans.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback to editors, ensuring continuous improvement in ad quality.
Task Management & Organization:
- Organize and manage the creative process, from ideation to execution, ensuring all tasks are clearly defined and completed on time.
- Be resourceful in utilizing existing assets and optimizing their use in campaigns.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Make creative decisions based on performance data, ensuring iterations and new ideas are grounded in what works.
- Regularly review past winners and losers to avoid repeating mistakes and to build on successes.
Audience & Product Understanding:
- Develop a deep understanding of the product and the target audience to create ads that resonate and drive results.
- Constantly consider the audience's needs and preferences when crafting creative concepts.
Marketing Funnel Expertise:
- Understand the marketing funnel and the role of ads within it, ensuring that creative contributions enhance funnel performance.
- Collaborate on funnel creation and iteration as needed, ensuring a cohesive and effective customer journey.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and motivate the creative team, providing guidance, training, and support to editors and other team members.
- Conduct one-on-ones with team members to ensure they are motivated, productive, and aligned with company goals.
Copywriting & Messaging:
- Possess a strong copywriting background with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive ad copy.
- Understand and implement effective ad messaging and angles that drive engagement and conversions.
Direct Response & Video Ad Strategy:
- Have a solid understanding of direct response ad strategy and structure, particularly in the context of video ads.
- Be able to identify weak points in video ads and provide actionable feedback for improvement.
AI Tools & Technology:
- Leverage AI tools such as Eleven Labs and Heygen to enhance the creative process and optimize ad performance.
Managerial Abilities:
- Take responsibility for ensuring tasks are moving along and are completed on time.
- Provide constructive criticism and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Continuous Improvement:
- Constantly seek ways to improve existing ads and creative processes.
- Keep up with industry changes and innovations, ensuring the team is always ahead of the curve.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a creative leadership role within a direct response or performance marketing environment.
- Strong understanding of video ad production, VSL structure, and e-commerce concepts (CVR, AOV, CAC, CTR, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and apply them to creative strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in AI tools and a deep understanding of paid social strategy.
- A team player with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop a creative team.
