Team Size: R&D 15 people, QA, Software & Embedded Engineering

Interviews: 3 stages.

Reports to: CEO

The Role:

Our AI scale-up client is looking for a technology leader to drive its product to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various technologies, ranging from embedded systems to cloud SaaS platforms. This role is an integral part of the company’s leadership team, driving innovation, architectural evolution, and product releases to meet the needs of our growing customer base, while managing a large deployment of cloud-managed IoT devices worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of developers and QA across various technology disciplines, including embedded firmware, machine learning & algorithms, cloud connectivity, hosted cloud SaaS services, APIs, and security.
• Own the architecture of the company’s IoT service, both current and future.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to drive innovation and expand the product portfolio.
• Ensure high availability solutions across time zones and at a growing scale.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in IoT systems as an R&D leader.
• 2+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• A passion for identifying emerging trends, technologies, and new opportunities for innovation, with the ability to solve complex technical challenges and drive research efforts that create new market opportunities.
• Experience working with a hybrid (local/remote) team.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a medium-sized R&D team, driving productivity and creativity, with a proven ability to scale and develop talent.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and processes for efficient product development cycles, balancing short-term customer deliverables with long-term innovation goals.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (B1+ level).
