Backend Manager

A high-tech company in the cybersecurity field, specializing in defensive cyber solutions, protects endpoints and IT environments in organizations with the goal of detecting, preventing, and neutralizing advanced cyberattacks. Their security system collects data from all endpoints within an organization and its IT environment, analyzing their activities.

Using the vast amount of real-time data gathered, the product identifies malicious behaviors and presents the event’s sequence through a simple and intuitive interface.

Located in Tel Aviv, right next to a train station, the company operates under a flexible hybrid work model and employs hundreds of people.

About the role

• Manage a large team or a flat group of 12-14 developers.
• Report directly to the VP of R&D.
• Oversee a team that is highly skilled, responsible, and independent but still requires guidance.
• Manage senior developers and strong tech leads across diverse domains.
• Perform hands-on tasks primarily in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Work with a tech stack that includes Java, Kubernetes, Kafka, Microservices, MongoDB, and GCP.

Requirements:

• Strong Java development experience- Must
• Over 7 years of experience in the security field- Must
• Proficiency in working with Cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure -Must
• Must possess expertise in Microservices architecture- Must
• Experience in designing and maintaining large-scale SaaS applications- Must
• Expertise in building scalable and efficient RESTful APIs for public/internal use- Must
• Hands-on experience in containerized environments with Kubernetes- Must
