An innovative fintech company is focusing on providing cutting-edge payment solutions to businesses globally. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Onboarding to streamline their client onboarding process, ensuring full Due Diligence packages with banking partners requirements while maintaining a seamless and efficient experience for new clients.

The Head of Onboarding will be responsible for overseeing and improving the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring all compliance protocols are adhered to while optimizing efficiency. This role requires a strong background in compliance, especially with EMIs (Electronic Money Institutions) and bank account opening, and a business-oriented approach to balancing regulatory obligations with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Onboarding Process: Lead the entire client onboarding process, ensuring the timely collection of all required documentation and information, and creating a smooth and efficient experience for new clients.
• Document Collection & Due Diligence: Ensure all documents are collected, verified, and stored securely, and conduct due diligence and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes if required.
• Streamlining Processes: Develop and implement strategies to make the onboarding process more efficient while maintaining high compliance standards.
• Risk Management: Monitor and assess potential risks in the client onboarding process and take proactive steps to mitigate any compliance issues.
• Relationship management: Create strong relationship with banking partners and assure the compliance process is seamless.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with sales, customer support, and client relations teams to ensure onboarding is aligned with broader business objectives and client needs.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within onboarding and compliance functions to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in onboarding and compliance, ideally within the fintech or financial services industry. A strong background in working with EMIs and banks account opening is required.
• Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth knowledge of local and international compliance regulations, including AML, KYC, GDPR, and other relevant industry regulations.
• Process-Oriented Mindset: Strong ability to create, implement, and refine onboarding processes to improve efficiency while maintaining compliance.
• Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop teams that are focused on compliance and client onboarding.
• Business-Oriented: A business-driven approach to onboarding, focusing on the client experience while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, particularly in document verification, due diligence, and risk assessment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams, clients, and regulators effectively.
• Certifications: Relevant compliance certifications, such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), are a plus.
