We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader with exceptional technical and communication skills to join our team as the R&D Team Lead for Connectors and integration. This is a hybrid role that integrates data engineering and data integration responsibilities, with a focus on building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines within our next-generation infrastructure platform. You will lead a team of engineers to design and implement solutions using tools such as dbt, Airbyte, Airflow, and other components of the modern data stack, while maintaining high technical standards and performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead a distributed team of 3-4 engineers in developing cutting-edge data Connectors and integration solutions
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to prioritize the team’s workload, optimize processes, and drive team efficiency
• Provide technical leadership, ensuring the team adheres to best practices and maintains the highest quality in code development through hands-on support and code reviews
• Oversee the team’s performance, including planning, execution, and quality assurance, while setting clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Manage and mentor team members, fostering their professional growth and career development
• Drive the recruitment and onboarding of new team members
• Ensure the successful execution of projects within time constraints while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged
  
  

• Over 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years of experience as an R&D Team Lead Expertise in designing and building scalable systems with Cloud Architecture in a SaaS company
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and manage distributed cross-functional R&D teams, mentorship skills, fostering a collaborative and communicative team environment
• Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, manipulation, designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines using custom tooling (Python, N8N, Airbyte is an advantage) emphasizing monitoring, supportability, and resource optimization
• Expertise with data orchestration and workflow tools (Apache Airflow is an advantage)
• Ability to document and explain technical processes in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, DevOps (CI/CD), and version control
• Experience working with offshore teams
• Experience designing and building scalable systems in a SaaS company using cloud architecture
