Senior Scientist - Strain Development Department
Key Responsibilities:
Build company’s strain development capabilities in diverse microbial strains
Develop new microbial expression systems and functional genomic screens
Conduct experiments according to the department’s work-plans
Write and assimilate SOPs and protocols according to GMP requirements
Develop high throughput screening capabilities
Qualifications:
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related field
At least 3 years of industrial experience and extensive expertise in molecular biology and
microbial protein expression systems and methods
Experience working under highly regulated environment (GMP or GMP compliance), including
writing and assimilation of SOPs.
Proven track record in leading successful strain improvement projects including gene
constructions, design, synthesis, transformation, clonal selection and strain characterization.
Experience with bioinformatics tools and data analysis – an advantage
Multi-disciplinary approach with project management skills
Team player with good verbal and written skills
Able to work independently
