Position Summary:
This Senior Electronics Engineer is a system development and R&D Engineering position within General Robotics a SIG SAUER company in central district Israel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for board design of advanced electronic boards including, power, communication, video, high speed, and embedded design. The position will also include integration, production support, and debugging.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Creates PCBA schematics and layouts.
• Responsible for taking new electronic board concepts through all aspects of the development cycle, resulting in a producible and innovative system.
• Knowledge and ability to develop and integrate new and advanced boards in complex systems.
• Ability to identify design flaws and malfunctioning electronics and fix them.
• Assists in the development of test equipment and procedures for manufacturing support.
• Ensures a seamless transition from prototype to a fully developed and manufactured system.
• Design to military standards.
• Engages in and actively volunteers for continuous improvement projects/tasks.
• Able to travel infrequently.
Education, Experience, and Required Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10 years of recent, related experience in board design and integration.
• Experience with Altium, and other electronic design CAD software.
• Aptitude for detail with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication (oral and written), and time management skills.
• Creative, self-motivated, and an independent thinker with a "can do" approach
• Firearm and electro-optics experience is preferred.
