Food Technology Specialist

Aleph Farms®, a cellular agriculture company pioneering Aleph Cuts™, the world’s first cultivated beef steaks, is seeking a Food Technology Specialist to join its R&D team in Rehovot, Israel.

Responsibilities:

• Lead research initiatives to enhance the sensory, nutritional, and safety aspects of cultivated meat products.
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable production processes for cultivated meat, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Document, analyze, interpret data, and effectively communicate results and knowledge.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, both within R&D and with culinary experts, to achieve project objectives.
• Work closely with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to leverage expertise and keep up-to-date with industry trends.
• Adhere to corporate standards, guidelines, and lab policies to maintain a safe and effective working environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Up to 1 year of experience in food product development (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in developing meat-based products or meat analogues (preferred).
• Experience in flavor and aroma development, and tasting analysis (preferred).
• Knowledge of fats and oils (preferred).
