Network & Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with a strong background in network security. The ideal candidate will be experienced in designing, implementing, and managing secure network solutions, with a focus on Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs). This role also requires a deep understanding of authentication protocols, including SAML and OAuth, to ensure secure authentication and authorization processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, deploy, and manage ADC solutions with a focus on security and performance.

- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.

- Optimize and troubleshoot configurations to enhance network performance and security.

- Monitor and secure network traffic, ensuring compliance with security standards and policies.

- Implement SSL/TLS offloading, content switching, URL rewriting, and web application firewall (WAF) policies.

- Manage and support authentication and authorization protocols.

- Collaborate with security and IT teams to develop and enforce network security policies.

- Provide technical support and expertise in resolving network security incidents.

- Develop and maintain network and security documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

- Stay current with the latest technologies, network security trends, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on network security and ADC technologies.

- Proficiency in network security protocols and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SSL/TLS.

- Experience with authentication and authorization protocols.

- Solid understanding of load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, and web application security.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to security incidents quickly and effectively.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).

- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of additional network security technologies, such as Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
