Network L1 Engineer

Job Functions

· Provide L1 Network support to the Israeli sites.

· Play an instrumental role in end-to-end networking projects design through implementation: HW upgrades, site moves, implementing new technologies, etc.

Required Experience and Certifications

· CCNA / CCNP certification - Must

· At least one year of experience in working with Cisco/Brocade/Arista equipment, set up and operations – Must

· Experience working in a large-scale enterprise technical work environment - Must

· Experience working in an operations environment - Must

· Palo Alto Firewall Experience - Advantage

· Network Security Experience - Advantage

· Wireless Experience - Advantage

Primary Skills

· Understanding of network design practices from small office to large campus.

· Comprehension of networking concepts including network design principles, data flow determination, routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing, spanning-tree, etc.

· Solid understanding of network utility services including TFTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, SYSLOG, etc.

· Familiarity with network scanning/analysis procedures and toolsets for network readiness assessments.

· Understanding of advanced networking technologies and solutions including MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, OSPF, multicast, policy-based routing, ether-channel, QoS, traffic-shaping, load balancing, VPNs, WAN Optimization, etc.

· Understanding of advanced data center networking technologies and solutions including Arista switches, Ruckus switches, ISR routers, SDWAN. collocation facility integration, DR integration, etc.

· Ability to execute in a methodical manner to gather, document, and present specific requirements as well as articulate technical solutions

· Exceptional documentation skills that can clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments.

· Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skills.

· Excellent presentation and communication skills regarding technical and non-technical concepts.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish professional working relationships with varying levels of both business and technical personnel.

· Self-directed to complete tasks in both a professional and timely manner with minimal supervision

· Must be prepared to execute night and weekend work to support the environments after hours.
