Director R&D (Full Stack)

Atlas Invest is transforming the bridge loan landscape, seamlessly connecting investors with real estate developers using advanced big data analytics for a personalized investment experience. 

We're looking for a visionary and technically adept Director of Research & Development to lead our talented full stack software team and shape the future of our technology. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our platform, ensuring its innovation, scalability and security.

What you’ll do :

• Define and lead the overall technology vision and roadmap, aligning with the company's strategic goals.
• Manage a team of full stack software experts and oversee all aspects of research and development, including backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of top engineering talent across various disciplines (backend, frontend, DevOps).
• Manage the tech stack, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security on DigitalOcean cloud infrastructure.
• Champion the use of React, TanStack, and Tailwind CSS for a performant and user-friendly frontend experience.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate product requirements into actionable technical specifications.

Who you are:

• 8+ years of experience in leading and managing full stack SaaS software teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Hands-on and deep understanding of the entire cloud computing stack with a proven track record in developing and launching innovative data intensive FinTech products.
• Fluent in TypeScript, Python and Node.js.
• Fluent in React, TanStack, and Tailwind CSS.
• Solid understanding of AI concepts and experience with machine learning algorithms.Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• B.Sc Computer Science or other relevant field

Bonus Points:

• Experience with big data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with financial APIs and data security protocols.
