Data Engineer - Student

The Analytics Engineering group at Outbrain is responsible for managing all data pipelines, while processing large volumes of data, and creating valuable data models. We are working closely with various departments across the company, including Product, R&D, BI, and Business to answer their data needs.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in working with big data, developing data pipelines, and assisting in maintaining our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, a strong desire to learn, and a problem-solving mindset.

A day in the life

• Design and implement data pipelines in production
• Be part of a major migration project
• Interface with Engineers, Product Managers, Analysts and co-workers to understand product goals and data needs

What you’ll bring

• A third year student of Industrial Management Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative fields
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Knowledge in databases and SQL is a must
• Knowledge of BQ/Airflow/Python- an advantage
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal (Hebrew and English)
• Excellent Self-learning capabilities
• A customer oriented, collaborative and proactive attitude
• Ability to work at least 3 full days a week
