Vice President of QA

The company offers various banking technology solutions, and is very well established and growing consistently.

The VP QA will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts across our software development lifecycle. This includes managing a team of QA engineers, developing and implementing QA processes, and collaborating closely with the development and product teams to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers in Tel-Aviv and New York, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement QA best practices, methodologies, and processes across the organization.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of QA processes in the development lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance Strategy:
• Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Establish metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor and improve product quality.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software products.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies to ensure QA is integrated throughout the development process.
• Provide clear communication on testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
• Test Planning & Execution:
• Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
• Ensure thorough testing of all features and functionality across multiple products and environments.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
• Lead initiatives to improve testing processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall product quality.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the QA team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with developing and managing both manual and automated testing, including familiarity with tools like Cucumber, Cypress, JIRA, and Jenkins.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong background in finance and financial software testing.
• Experience in managing QA for a development team of 20 people across different locations.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
