Gentex Technologies Israel – GTI, is the Israeli R&D center of Gentex, located in Tel-Aviv. We are focused on developing the next generation of automotive AI technology for in-cabin and driver monitoring applications and serve as Gentex’s AI center-of-excellence. At GTI developing the cutting-edge in in-cabin monitoring starts with fully owning the process of data collection, annotation and validation. Our data & validation team designs, builds and runs data collection setup and collection campaigns.

As part of our growth, we are extending our reach and adding staff that will work directly with Gentex’s engineering organization in the company’s US HQ.

This is a unique opportunity to lead product and software development projects, combining remote work with teams in the US and local work with teams in Israel.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Engineering SW Project Manager III will lead embedded software (firmware), and possible associated mobile and cloud, development projects, throughout the full life-cycle of multi-deciplinay HW-SW products in our automative in-cabin product lines. This role leads multiple engineering disciplines to successful project outcomes, mentors others, and influences methods and processes to advance Gentex's product development capabilities. She/He will also execute the SW development milestone and related processes.

This position is Hybrid – combining work with teams at Gentex’s Israeli site – GTI in TLV as well as with teams in our US/Canada and Europe offices. The position will require an onboarding period of 2-3 month in our HQ office in MI, US.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead:

o  Lead Gentex SW related engineering disciplines in product development projects.

o  Lead programmatic meetings with an appropriate level of detail for respective audiences.

o  Release engineering artifacts including product software, Bill of Materials, release notes according to established processes.

o   Apply process tailoring, as needed. Lead process improvements by driving collaboration with engineering leadership and program management.

    o Develop and promote known best practices and train and mentor others on existing processes and tools.

Coordinate and Plan:

o  Coordinate with product management, program management and engineering teams to document and supervise program requirements and technical specifications and transform these into implementation roadmaps, balancing agile and waterfall methodologies to create achievable schedules and manage cross-functional dependencies, as well as identifying and mitigating execution risk.

o  Proactively coordinate meetings with cross-functionals partners that address roadblocks, are action oriented, result in clear notes covering outcomes and decisions, and next steps have identified due dates.

Communicate and Collaborate

o  Work with our customer facing program teams to communicate timelines and expectations with OEMs and customers.

o  Collaborate, build consensus, ensure accountability, and persistently drive stakeholder alignment through effective and timely decision-making processes to meet project and customer requirements.

o  Communicate goals, progress, and process efficiencies to senior leadership.

WHAT TO BRING

·  BSc in EE, CS.

·  10+ years of product and software development using Agile methodologies

·   4+ years of product / software project management

·   4+_ years of international / cross-cultural experience working with international teams

·   Leadership experience.

·   This job will require a 5-7 weeks of onboarding in the company’s HQ in the US

WHAT WILL HELP

·  Experience working in Electrical Engineering, Software Design or System Engineering.

·  Experience managing a project or leading a team.

·  Experience in the Automotive Aerospace, Medical, and Consumer Electronics Industries.

·  Experience with DOORS | MS Project | Smartsheet | Jira.

·  ISO 26262 / ASIL or ASPICE experience.
