Head of DevOps

A startup company in the Fintech/FinOps field has developed a FinOps platform primarily designed for corporations. After a quick integration with the company's cloud infrastructure, without the need for additional code, the product consolidates all cloud infrastructure costs, providing the company with capabilities for cost segmentation, monitoring, financial forecasting, and cost reduction.

The company can accurately track all existing costs, immediately tag teams, regions, and products, as well as monitor and build modular dashboards for each product team, directly linking product costs to its development.

Their product operates agnostically across all major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) and fully supports Kubernetes, as well as additional tools like Datadog and Snowflake.

The company has been in existence for 4 years and has raised $44 million.

Located in Tel Aviv, within walking distance from a train station, and operates on a hybrid work model with two work-from-home days. It has 34 employees and is expected to double in size by the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead the development and maintenance of an automated, fault-tolerant cloud environment utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.

● Oversee the monitoring and analysis of infrastructure performance, recommending and implementing improvements to ensure optimal operation.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any system issues.

● Maintain and enforce security standards across all cloud services and infrastructure.

● Drive innovation in DevOps practices, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements:

● 5 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer.

● 2 years of experience in managerial leadership, guiding and mentoring a DevOps team.

● Prior experience as a Head of DevOps, with a desire to continue in a leadership role involving hands-on responsibilities.

● Proficiency with cloud services (AWS is a must), Kubernetes, and Docker.

● Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.

● Experience with automation software

● Experience leading DevOps processes in a metrics-driven culture.

● Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.

● Ability to script in languages like Python & Bash.
