Installation Engineer

The BMC Installation team is looking for a passionate Installation Tool Engineer to join our team of highly skilled developers building the Installer of the Control-M products.

The installation team is one of the major and significant teams in the development organization. We handle every new feature and development as a team and work closely with the other teams daily.

By joining this team, you will contribute to developing the Installer engine and take it to the next level.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop features for the Control-M installer engine
• Developing with various technologies such as Shell, batch, Perl, Python, XML, Java, C/C++
• Working in a Java infrastructure.
• Work agile within a Scrum team to meet deadlines and produce high-quality features.
• Work in good collaboration with other teams to develop joint features.
• Various technologies/tools are investigated and chosen to implement our vision.

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years' experience working with programming languages such as; Java or Python
• Knowledge in Scripting: Shell, batch, Perl, Python, XML
• Operating systems experience (Windows, Linux, and UNIX)
• Networking fundamentals.

It would be an advantage for you to have:

• Knowledge in C/C++
• Databases experience (PG / Oracle / MSSQL)
• Strong analytical skills, creativity, detail-oriented, communicative person
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, programming, or equivalent practical experience
