Mechanical Designer

We are experiencing sky-rocketing growth and closed a historically large $105M Series A round in February of 2024.

Exodigo is on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Designer to join our Mechanical team. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical prototypes for new products or components while improving current designs based on project requirements. You’ll engage in rapid iteration and prototyping, ensuring that our designs meet the highest standards of functionality and performance.

Job description:

As part of your responsibilities, you will assemble and test prototypes to validate their performance, durability, and safety. You will analyze test results, iterate on designs as needed, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to ensure that mechanical designs align with overall project goals and timelines. Your contribution will be key in facilitating open communication and teamwork throughout the development process.

In addition, you'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed assembly instructions, as well as creating maintenance manuals that support manufacturing and end-user needs. You will collaborate with manufacturing partners to transition prototypes into production, providing necessary support and design modifications to ensure manufacturability

Requirements:

• Experience with mechanical design 2-3 years (minimum)
• Hands-on capabilities for prototyping, testing and assembly
• Experience in DFM for 3D printing, machining & sheet metal fabrication - Must
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in CAD software - Must
• Experience in collaborating with hardware and electronics engineers - Advantage
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in written communication
• Experience in designing mechanical/electro-mechanical systems for outdoor/military use - an advantage
• Experience in PCB design and electronics packaging - an advantage
• Experience working with PDM software - an advantage
• Experience working on multidisciplinary systems and products
