Senior Legal Counsel - Wix Payments

Job Description

In this role, you’ll be joining an amazing fintech group within Wix called Wix Payments. We aim to empower any business in the Wix ecosystem to realize its full financial potential.

• Provide ongoing legal counsel on a wide range of commercial issues such as agreement negotiation with third parties like clients, business partners and vendors
• Analyze applicable global regulations and follow up on ongoing updates
• Advise on all legal aspects of our business including product and features review
• Draft terms of use, contracts and other legal documents
• Analyze the company’s legal liability in accordance with the regulatory framework
• Provide internal legal support to different teams at Wix. Work closely with our product and operational teams to ensure all legal aspects are covered.
• Work with external counsels (in Israel and abroad) and implement business-enabling solutions
  
  

Qualifications:

• A licensed lawyer with 6+ years of experience as in-house counsel for a fintech/hi-tech company, prominent law firm, or other tech-related legal work
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Experience in drafting commercial agreements, and the ability to draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements independently
• Enjoy learning and researching new legal aspects as they appear
• Diligent, hardworking and an excellent multitasker
• A team player who cares about your work and your clients
• Experience with fintech and payments legal issues is an advantage
