What’s the Job?

The Principal QA Engineer will be a key leader within the Quality Assurance team, responsible for overseeing the testing strategy, ensuring the highest quality standards, and guiding a team of QA engineers in a dynamic product environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of QA methodologies and processes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead QA Strategy and Planning - Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and best practices in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to ensure high quality and QA alignment with business goals.
• Oversee Testing Processes - Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Ensure thorough testing of new features and bug fixes, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Automation and Tools - Active lead of moving from manual QA to automatic. Drive the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools
• Define, track, and report on quality metrics and KPIs.
• Present Novidea with customers upper management in all Quality related topics
• Proactively identify quality issues and drive initiatives to resolve them.
  
  

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Technical understanding (Working with Jsons, APIs & SQL)
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Hands-on experience with performance and security testing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience in customer facing roles
• Excellent communication skills in English

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Advantage
• Experience in a product-based company
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• working in Salesforce environment
• Knowledge and experience in the Insurance domain
