Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our dynamic team.

This role is crucial in driving the evolution of Gary and our future robots. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, including electronic, mechanical, and QA/QC departments, to improve system performance from both hardware and software perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead and coordinate the efforts of the electronic, mechanical, and QA/QC teams to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of our robotic systems.
• System Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of Gary and future robots by enhancing both hardware and software components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Hardware/Software Integration: Work closely with the hardware and software teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies, ensuring that all system components work harmoniously.
• Robotics Development: Utilize your expertise in robotics and the Robot Operating System (ROS) to develop and refine robotic systems, contributing to both current and future projects.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the QA/QC processes to ensure that all systems meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to address complex challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in systems engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in a system engineering role, preferably in robotics or a related industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of robotics and ROS.
• Proficiency in both software and hardware development, with the ability to integrate and optimize these components.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and best practices.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
