Gentex Technologies Israel – GTI, is the Israeli R&D center of Gentex, located in Tel-Aviv. We are focused on developing the next generation of automotive AI technology for in-cabin and driver monitoring applications and serve as Gentex’s AI center-of-excellence. At GTI developing the cutting-edge in in-cabin monitoring starts with fully owning the process of data collection, annotation and validation. Our data & validation team designs, builds and runs data collection setup and collection campaigns.
We are looking for an experienced Data and Validation engineer to join our multi-disciplinary D&V team.
Your duties and responsibilities include-
- Lead, Design and build technical setups for Data acquisition (data and ground truth) in automotive systems, with our AI algorithm engineers
- Conducting data acquisition tasks and producing ground truth for our systems
- Working on site and creating a collaborative and efficient environment for all data collection activities
- Designing and executing protocols for collecting data in controlled environments.
What are we looking for?
Building lab setups for data capture is a multidisciplinary task that involves elements of hardware integration, software development, and project management. We are looking for an experienced individual with more than 5 years experience in these areas that would be well-equipped to lead, design, implement, and maintain effective data capturing systems in a lab environment.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with designing and building technical setups for the automotive industry
- Sensor Knowledge: Understanding of various sensors used in data capture, such as depth sensors (e.g., Kinect), RGB cameras, infrared sensors, IMU, and other specialized devices.
- Camera Systems: Expertise in working with different types of camera systems, including high-resolution cameras and those with specialized features for facial recognition.
- Sensor Integration: Ability to integrate different sensors into a cohesive system.
- Hardware Troubleshooting: Skills in identifying and resolving issues with cameras, sensors, or other hardware components.
Project Management and Leadership:
- Strong ownership on tasks and ability to delegate tasks to other team members.
- Planning and Organization: Ability to plan and organize lab setups efficiently.
- Resource Management: Efficient allocation and management of resources, including cameras, sensors, and computing equipment.
- Communication: Ability to communicate coherently with different stakeholders
- Documentation: Strong documentation skills for recording setup configurations, protocols, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Ability to work in a team, collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
Problem Solving:
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify and solve issues related to data capture and hardware setup.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot technical problems that may arise during setup or data capture.
