Software Engineer Team Lead

Startup Company developing control and monitoring systems that provide easy access to quantum computers. The quantum computer can solve computational problems that traditionally might take decades or even centuries on powerful computers, within minutes. The control and monitoring systems communicate with the quantum computer using a language they developed themselves.

The company is located in Tel Aviv (near a train line), offers hybrid work (2 days remote), and has 130 employees. It was founded by three physicist founders specializing in quantum computing and quantum electronics, who conducted research in quantum computing with a focus on quantum electronics.

The company has raised approximately $80 million to date. In 2021, they tripled their team, including physicists and engineers, with a presence in Israel, Germany, the USA, Canada, and France. Their clients include government laboratories, academic research institutions, international corporations, and quantum computing startups.

Role:

Direct management of a senior developer and an outsourced team in Ukraine. Development for one of the company's core products – developing the operating system that connects to quantum computers and interfaces with hardware systems. Reporting to the team lead and working with System Engineers, Algorithms, and Software Engineers.

Requirements-

• 6 years of SW development experience – Must
• 3 years of hands-on Python experience– Must
• Experience writing and maintaining production code for large systems – Must
• Deep understanding of design patterns, systems & SW architecture – Must
• Proven track record handling code review, testing, and system integration – Must
• Technical leadership experience – Must
• Proven experience providing open source code – Strong advantage
• B.Sc. or higher degree in Computer Sciences, EE, or equivalent.
