Data Engineer (Fixed Term Contract)

In the GTM analytics COE our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to our sales organization.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Big Data engineering team. If you are passionate about data and technology, we are eager to meet you. A data engineer on this team will design, develop, test, modify, deploy, and document solutions, services or datasets in both local and cloud-based deployments of our Big Data infrastructure. The engineer will create solutions using current programming languages and tools and interact with team members, customers, and partners to define requirements. The engineer will also work with stakeholders and data scientists to analyze, extract, and report meaningful insights from data collected.

Please note that it's a fixed-term role with a 24 months' contract. Extension to permanent position is possible but not guarantee.

What You Will Do

• Participates in analyzing requirements and high-level designs.
• Implements, tests, and maintains software modules/data pipelines.
• Participates in code reviews.
• Gives input to management on task duration estimates, technical information, and issue resolution.
• Provides domain-specific expertise and perspective to partners.
• Develops processes for data modeling, mining, and reporting.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams inside and cross organization to establish data connections.
  
  

• Experienced with Data Engineering in Databricks including spark.
• 1+ years on a similar role.
• Experienced with data modelling and data quality control.
• Experience with source control management systems such as Git.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
• Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL is preferred).
• Experience in working with REST API services.
• Proficient to code using technologies like pySpark, Python.
