Back End Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced backend engineer with a passion for designing and developing robust, scalable systems. The ideal candidate is proactive in staying ahead of the curve, continuously exploring and applying new technologies.

Role Description

* Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems.

* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

* Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

* Optimize backend processes to ensure system efficiency and reliability.

* Maintain and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

* Implement best practices for security and data protection.

Qualifications

* Experience as a backend engineer with software architecture experience.

* Degree in software engineering/computer science preferred.

* Proficient in modern backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, JavaScript.

* Strong experience working with databases, specifically column-based databases.

* Experience working with a cloud provider (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) a plus.

* Experience working with 3rd party APIs.

* Fast learner of new tech, excellent problem solver, and time management skills.
