Design Director - Apparel – (Relocation to China )

Our client, an established global company in the Apparel Industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer to join our dynamic team.

As a Design Director/Head of Design, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production and design aspects of our apparel manufacturing, suppliers, and supply chain processes. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations, timely delivery, and optimal use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards. The role will be based in the GuangZhou office and working closely with the Israel based HQ.

We are looking for a dedicated designer with strong experience overseeing fashion/apparel from creation to completion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Building work processes with the team in China and the factories while working regularly with Asia and with the offices in Israel.
• Building product portfolios and transferring them to the production sources involves working with designers.
• Daily work with the development and production department from the concept stage to the finished product.
• Weekly review of fabrics, prints, accessories and marketing materials.
• Buying original samples and matching fabrics and design to the purchase prices.
• Reducing the schedules for models from others in all departments.
• Budget management accordingly.
• Building trends for FAST FASHION stories.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years leading a Fashion/Apparel department (i.e. Design, Production).
• Educational degree in Fashion or Relevant years of experience.
• Experience in fashion design/buying in commercial companies.
• Understanding of technical specifications, fabrics, cuts.
• Software experience: Excel, Illustrator, Browzwear 3D, Knowledge of Photoshop, Power Point.
• Working with factories in China.
• Fluent English.
• Open to relocate to China
