Cyber Security Engineer

Who We Are:

The Information Security Infrastructure Unit in the Communications Department is responsible for the setup, ongoing maintenance, and operation of the company protection systems. The unit manages a wide range of security technologies and products, including firewalls, DDOS protection systems, and application security systems.

On a daily basis, we lead, manage, plan, support, and build architecture for various projects across different environments in the company. The unit's employees are technological experts who provide services to various parties within the technology division and beyond.

Role Overview:

The Application Security Team within the Information Security Infrastructure Unit is a HANDS-ON role involving the setup, operation, and ongoing maintenance of information security systems across a wide range of technologies.

The role includes providing internal and external services to organizational clients, managing the day-to-day operation of protection systems within the organization, implementing new systems, evaluating new technologies according to business requirements, enforcing information security policies, and hardening security components.

If You Are:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity implementation within a large organization – required.
• Experience in the setup, maintenance, and ongoing operation of WAF/API Security/IPS/URL Filtering/Sandbox/Proxy/Application Delivery/Load Balancers/Mail/CDN systems – required.
• Experience with Fortinet systems – required.
• Familiarity with Anti-DDoS technologies.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Extensive knowledge of data communication, including a deep understanding of Switching/Routing.
• Basic familiarity with programming languages such as HTML, Python, JavaScript, ASP/ASPX.
• Ability to understand and analyze logs from protection systems and communications.
• Experience in evaluating (POC) and implementing new information security technologies – an advantage.
• Experience in cloud environment security and knowledge of automation – an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team, with motivation and proactivity to lead complex projects and tasks.
• Availability outside of regular working hours and on-call duties as required.
• Experience in documenting and creating work procedures.
