Java Software Engineer

Startup Company in the Fintech field developing a platform for capital market activities. Their technology enables trillions of dollars to be available for various financial activities, fostering the growth of the global economy. The platform's goal is to create a technological connection between leading players in the financial world, automatically optimizing their capital activities.

The company's team includes entrepreneurs from startup companies that were sold to leading international entities, as well as former senior executives from the world’s largest banks.

The company is defined as a unicorn and has raised $280M to date. They have sites in London, New York, and Israel, with the development center located in Tel Aviv, conveniently accessible by train.

The company combines a hybrid work model with two days a week from home. They have 120 employees globally, with 45 based in Israel.

Role Description:

• Work in a team environment, utilizing Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, and scripting.
• Be part of a two-developer team, reporting to a Team Lead.
• Focus on Backend development, primarily coding in Java (with the option to engage in Client-side development if desired).
• Work on an existing product, including legacy systems, which is a key revenue-generating product for the organization.
• The tech stack includes Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Microservices, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.

Requirements-

• 5 years of experience in Java server-side development, including cloud services
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, JPA, Swagger, Maven, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, GIT, RESTful Services, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS-Cli
• Quality mentality in mind – an experience with unit-tests, component-tests, integration-tests
• Experience in building complex, large-scale software solutions from scratch to live production
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent English communication skills – spoken and written
• B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering or equivalent (M.Sc. is an advantage)
